Wylfa nuclear plant on hold: the UK needs a Plan B
Yesterday, Hitachi announced it would be suspending work on the new nuclear plant at Wylfa, Anglesey. The £13 billion plant was due to be operational by the mid-2020s, and its suspension follows Toshiba’s decision to pull out of the Moorsite plant at Cumbria, leaving just the delayed Hinkley Point C under construction.
